The attack, which is under investigation by local police, left three people dead and ten others wounded. The shooting erupted around 1 a.m. on the 1500 block of South Etting Street.
According to authorities, officers were already in the area monitoring reports of large gatherings and loud music after several arrests were made over the weekend. They were responding to a nearby incident when they heard the gunfire.
Upon arrival, police found 12 shooting victims between the ages of 15 and 24. Another person was injured while trying to flee, though it was later determined they hadn’t been shot as initially feared.
